Upcoming Advanced Nuclear Conference
Advanced Nuclear Coalition is making preparations to host their third Advanced Nuclear Conference Oct. 1-3 in Omaha, Nebraska.
This year’s conference will provide an opportunity for members of the public, policy makers and the electric industry to learn more about the advancements in nuclear electric generation and will build on programs held in 2021 and 2023.
Prominent and respected industry representatives will discuss a variety of advanced technologies including small modular nuclear, next generation nuclear, micro reactors, the regulatory process, and advancements in fuels and fuel management.
Representatives from TerraPower, OKLO, Westinghouse, and General Electric will share the status of their technologies and what the future holds. In addition, representatives from the Nuclear Energy Institute, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Army and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, will contribute to the program. Representatives from Orano will discuss the latest nuclear fuel cycle technologies. We will also hear an update on the Small Modular Siting Study and more!
NEW this year are two pre-conference programs focusing on the basics of nuclear energy. One program will include a tour of Cooper Nuclear Station, and one will be held at the conference hotel.
